JOB DESCRIPTIONThe VP, Commercial Insurance (CI) Portfolio Insights Leader is responsible for delivering actionable insights to decision-makers including Portfolio Management, Line of Business, Industry Practice, Region, and other leaders across CI to support evidence-based decision-making and improve visibility into external market dynamics. This leader will partner with stakeholders to identify needs and collaborate with Data Engineering, Actuarial, Finance, and Analytics organizations across Chubb to deliver recurring reports, self-service analytical tools, automated monitoring, and deep-dive analyses.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting: Develop and deliver recurring reports that provide clear insights into business performance and trends including growth, profitability, and mix of business.
- Self-Service Tools: Design and build dynamic dashboards and tools that enable end users to efficiently access multi-dimensional insights.
- Automated Monitoring: Design and deliver automated monitoring capabilities that detect outliers and significant changes in trends.
- Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses of specific challenges or opportunities at the request of business stakeholders.
- Market Analysis: Use external data sources to produce recurring reports and analyses on CI's competitive position, market share, and opportunity by line of business, segment, geography, etc.
- Scenario modeling: Develop scenario-analysis capabilities to support business partners' planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
- Infrastructure: Collaborate with leaders in North America Data and Analytics, Global Data, and Global Analytics on infrastructure improvements that increase scalability, efficiency, accessibility, and usability. Build a roadmap for CI's analytical platforms/software including new tools and consolidation of existing tools to optimize return on investment.
- Communication: Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
- Talent: Mentor and develop junior analysts and foster a culture of analytical rigor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience analyzing profitability, growth, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for a broad collection of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business analytics in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, including 5 or more years in leadership roles.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience in Commercial Lines Property & Casualty.
- Experience working with statistical analysis software (e.g., Python, R) and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and predictive modeling.
The pay range for the role is $150,000 to $217,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
