We are recruiting for a Surety Business Services Specialist to join our team. This role can sit remote in most locations across the U.S.
Position Summary:
Manage the day-to-day service requests of our agency partners. Lead the Surety department billing and receivable processes. Support the build out of organizational capabilities to meet the needs of the Surety line of business. Manage with the execution of these capabilities and contributing to the vision for continuing development to support an efficient and robust Surety business.
Responsibilities:
Liaison with all supporting Amerisure staff to align Surety needs with existing Amerisure Insurance processes and procedures.
Support internal development of both Policy Administration Solutions and Billing Solutions with user acceptance testing.
Provide account setup and support to underwriting teams, with duties in and around the underwriting process including setup of financial analysis and file maintenance.
Assist the Surety department by identifying and implementing improvements to our key systems and workflows.
Provide support for all Agency maintenance functions
Assist in developing internal reports and underwriting solutions
Responsible for analysis and entry of bond transactions into the Surety BAS (Bond Administration System) including class coding, descriptions, premium and commission calculation
Create and issue new bond and renewal documentation
Provides support to Credit and Billing Services ensuring systems of record are properly updated
Research and help Credit and Billing Services resolve premium and/or commission discrepancies
Requirements:
Associates degree or equivalent experience.
3 years commercial insurance or accounting experience, surety industry experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative without daily interaction with management.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Ability to facilitate internal meetings and informational exchanges.
Strong attention to detail with a willingness to focus on the customer experience.
Travel up to 10%
